A GROUP OF TWO BRILLIANT CUT GLASS VESSELS, AMERICAN OR BRITISH, CIRCA 1880-1920, the bowl with saw tooth rim over a deeply cut band of hobstars separated by cross bars, over a band of cut hobstars treated as flowers with gravic engraved petals combined with engraved scrolled leaves, the bottom cut with a shaped curved square within a circle, with spandrels filled with fine diamonds, centering a hobstar with engraved highlights, height: 3 1/4", diameter: 8 1/8"; and a flaring cylindrical vase with thumb cut lip over half drop pattern, the upper panels of double miter cut ogival vesica filled with radiating beaded fans between a hobstar centered by fans, the lower panels of single miter cut ogival vesica filled with elongated flashed fan between a star centered by blaze cut spandrels, the bottom cut with a sixteen point radiating star, height: 9 5/8", diameter: 6 3/4".


Both pieces in overall good condition with minor surface rubbing, scratching, and wear commensurate with age and use; both with minor "dings" but no heavy chips or cracks.
