English, early 19th century. A set of six George III Chippendale dining chairs in mahogany, each having a shaped crest over pierced splat, upholstered slipper seat above scalloped front seat rail, rising on straight legs with stretcher support; ht. 38, wd. 21, dp. 20 in. (each).

Condition

Item is in good condition with age wear and splits with use. Mortise joined stretchers. Four of six chairs have breaks and repairs to the bottom of a rear leg. One chair has a break and repair to the crest. Crack to a single chairs splat. Overall wear and staining to the upholstery.
