A rare and desirable signed silkscreen by the World famous Plymouth artist Beryl Cook (1926 - 2008).
The print is called "Gare du Nord" and depicts a typically rotund lady sitting in the Paris train station café, with a coffee and a plate of croissants. The print edition was limited to just 300 examples but this example is actually an Artist's Proof and is numbered A/P 4/60, making it rarer and more desirable. Artist Proof examples are generally kept by the artist and are considered of better quality because they tend to be the first off the plates. This print has come from the artist's family.
The picture is backed and in very good condition. It is numbered, titled and signed in pencil by Beryl Cook.
