"S. NORTH MIDLtn, CONN" U.S. Military Model 1816 Flintlock Martial Pistol Issued to the State of New York
c. 1816-1820, U.S. Military Model 1816, Flintlock Martial Pistol, produced by "S. NORTH MIDLtn, CONN", and Issued for service to the State of New York, Fine.
c. 1816-1820, U.S. Military Model 1816 Flintlock Martial Pistol by; "S. (Simeon) NORTH, MIDLtn, CONN", marked and issued to, "S.N.Y." (State of New York). This Flintlock Pistol has a 9" long, 54 caliber, round Steel barrel with Arsenal Proofs of, "US" and "P" with an overall size measuring to about 15.75". It remains in its original Flintlock configuration. The stock is solid with some expected wear from years of actual service. Its regulation steel furniture has salt & pepper pitting (with some areas somewhat worse than others), and remains in good working order.
