A very fine and elegant carved wooden stool with central female ancestor surrounded by several villages scenes, including a Child Birth, two figures carrying a small child, a female lovingly embracing the face of a male, and two chiefs with clubs. The central female has a stunning red painted face, carved white teeth and some incised design. A very fine old example. The stool measures 12 x 9 inches. There is a few areas of old insect damage, this has been inactive for several decades and is guaranteed safe.
