Qing Chinese Tibetan gilt bronze statue of Shakyamuni Buddha. Seated in the Vajra posture which resembles meditation, and wisdom. Presents a peaceful presence while resting atop a double-lotus pedestal with eyes closed and body covered in diaphanous robes holding a religious censer. His head is topped with the traditional bun adorned at the apex by a single ornament and his ears have been traditionally pierced and elongated with urna dot in between the eyes. With the right arm bare the hand is extended across the knee in the earth touching mudra. The left performs the mudra of meditation palm upward in the lap. Bronze is in beautiful condition with minimal marring of the surface. The underside with incised quatrefoil flori-form petal visvavajra mark surrounding the centralized DaiJi.

Measurements: 5-3/4" H


Over all in EXCELLENT condition. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
