18/19th C. Carved ChenXiang wood (Aloes wood) Chinese brush pot, in form of asymmetric cylindrical hollow vessel, slightly wider to the opening, in organic tree trunk shaped body. The exterior deftly carved with various levels of relief with continuous scene portraying a hillside landscape; showing outcrop rock-works, pine trees, further foliate, and clouds. The intrigue carving is deep yet smooth, revealed a masterpiece artworks. ChenXiang wood shows golden-honey with dark-brown hued patina. The brush pot displayed upon a silk covered hard-cushion stand.
Measurements: 5-7/8" H x 7"W
Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Some stress of wear. Natural wood imperfection, wood joint mark, minor scratches and dents. Normal consider ages and wears.
