Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt bronze repoussed with cylindrical body, supported on three cabriolet legs emerging from elephant masks, flanked by a pair of curved up swept handles under the banded rim. The domed lid crowned with characterizing pierced gilt bronze finial in dragons motif. The exterior decorated in enamel filled gilt bronze cloisonne works with colorful scrolling leafy tendrils suspending lotus blossoms against pale-turquoise-blue enamel ground. Elephant - is the last of the 4 Animals of Power and Energy. It represents strength, sagacity, and prudence.
Mark on base, incised four characters within a gilt medallion, Made In The Years of Qianlong Reign Period.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Traced numerous tiny-holes of corrosions on enamel filling, No missing wires found on cloisonne works. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents, and trace of declined on gilt; Normal, consider ages and wear.
