AN EDO PERIOD LACQUER HASAMIBAKO
Japan, late 18th / early 19th century. The lidded traveling box of small size with elaborate gilt copper Nanako mounts,
u-shaped side grasps and a small handle as well as a lock at the front. Decoration in hira maki-e gold lacquer with willow and plum trees and prominent Mon crests. The inner lined with paper.
