Fine Austrian Vienna Secessionist silver and crystal covered punch bowl. The ball-form bowl is deeply molded with alternating eye-shaped and fan panels. Bowl is topped with a silver plated cover and large glass ball finial. The bowl rests nicely in a round beaded flared handled base, which is supported on four flattened ball feet. This striking punch bowl is very similar to items made at the Weiner Werkstatte studio in early 1900s Vienna and designed by Josef Hoffman. The silver plating is in excellent condition and there is some chipping on the interior rim of the bowl. The silver cover is engraved on the rim with two engraved inscriptions on either side that read; "ELSE ADI MUTTCHEN & BETTY " and "DEM l.
