A late Victorian 18ct gold diamond and ruby five-stone ring. Designed as a graduated vari-cut diamond line, with oval-shape ruby spacers, inset to the tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1894. Ring size M. Weight 4.7gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Recently cleaned to a high finish.
  • One brilliant-cut diamond replacement. Other two diamonds are old-cut.
  • One ruby with eye visible fissure running across the stone.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
