A selection of four late Victorian and early 20th century 9ct gold and silver gem-set brooches and a stickpin. To include a diamond, ruby and seed pearl swallows brooch, an aquamarine and split pearl openwork bar brooch, together with two further brooches and a stickpin. Length of brooches 3.6 to 4.6cms. Diameter of stickpin head 0.9cm. Total weight 14.5gms.

Condition

  • Due to the amount of items in this lot we are unable to give a detailed condition report.
  • Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Two split pearls deficient to the aquamarine brooch.
  • Some with moderate to significant tarnishing.
  • Stones in good condition with light abrasion.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Some with marks to indicate 9ct gold.
  • Some with evidence of possible repair work/ alteration.
