The horse is modeled standing foursquare on a rectangular plinth, with its head lowered and the mane swept upward, the saddle draped with a green-glazed saddle cloth, the rider on top is shown with his proper right hand raised, the head modeled separately. The groom is shown standing on a rectangular plinth, wearing a belted knee-length robe and one hand raised as if to hold the reigns, the sleeves and lower section of the tunic under the coat is glazed in green, the head modeled separately.
