In the Queen Anne / George I style, of octagonal form. Comprising a teapot, coffee pot, hot water pot, sugar bowl and milk jug. The teapot of squat baluster octagonal form with domed lid and fruitwood scroll handle, the coffee pot and hot water pot of panelled octagonal form with domed lids and fruitwood scroll handles. Each fully and part-marked as well as stamped Asprey underneath. (5)

The original receipt for this set, dated 1st May 1991 and the purchase order dated 19th March 1991 are in existence and note that the sets completion would be the 10th May. Within the purchase order it notes that the “The craftsman has been asked to proceed and to note that the fruitwood handles are to be evenly coloured and not with the customary antique finish and also that the sugar bowl does not require a cover.” The original prices including VAT for the ‘2 pint coffee pot’ was £2075, the ‘2 pint hot water pot’ £2050, the ‘cream jug’ £752, the ‘sugar bowl without cover’ £1138 and teapot £2130, therefore totalling £8145.
