A pair of Victorian sterling silver commemorative salts, London 1897 by James Garrard
In the early 16th century hexagonal hourglass standing salt style. The rims decorated with a band of trefoils, the pierced lids with orb and bead finial, the side with the coat of arms of the Salters Company, the base with Queen Victoria’s crowned initials and the dates 1837-189, commemorating the Diamond Jubilee. Also engraved with initials S over MF. (2)
