FOLK ART CARVED SNAKE CANES / WALKING STICKS, LOT OF THREE, two with serpent-entwined shaft, with one serpent clutching an egg in its mouth, other example with snake rounding out the top of the cane. Two retain possibly original varnished surface, other in dry natural surface with painted accents. Late 19th/early 20th century. 35 1/4" to 44 1/4" L.
Entwined rattlesnake with moderate area of loss, and a crack near the base of the cane, each with minor areas of wear.
Provenance: The Jack and Tommie Marsh collection, Columbia, SC.
