AMERICAN BLUE AND WHITE BRISTOL-GLAZED SPONGEWARE STONEWARE BOWLS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising three featuring medial broad white band decoration and one having overall sponge decoration, each with wide rim. Together with a 8" D spittoon/cuspidor having waisted cylindrical form with oblong cut-out drain hole and blue banded rim and base. First quarter 20th century. 5 1/2" HOA, 6 7/8" to 11 1/8" D.
One bowl with minor flake to rim, remaining having hairlines and minor to moderate flakes; spittoon with wear to rim, having radial hairlines, moderate flakes to underside, and area of abrasions/roughness to rim.
