Late 19th century, American; Georgian style mahogany case in two pieces; the upper cabinet with broken pediment and eagle finial; glazed astral single door; lower case with single paneled door and rising on bracket feet. Connolly was a charity campaigner and philanthropist, Councilwoman for the National Trust for Scotland from 1978-1995 (the last ten years serving on the Executive board), and member of the Court of St. Andrews University from 1987-1995. A native Atlantan, Connolly's great-great-grandfather David Connally was one of the first settlers to obtain land in the city and her great-grandfather Joseph E. Brown was the governor of Georgia during the American Civil War.
