Late 19th/Early 20th Century, Russian, Painted Icon on Wood Panel with Silver, Gilt & Cloisonne Riza. Hallmarked on lower edge for Moscow, 84 Zolotnick, unidentified Cyrillic maker's mark. Possible representation of St. Nil Stolbensky, the figure of a monk in a tree "chapel" holding a scroll, a view of a church/monestary in the woods behind, the riza with gilt background and un-gilt figure with cloisonne halo, and floral cloisonne enamel frame and corner spandrels. 10.5" x 8.75" W. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Anital, Riverdale, New York.
