A bronze incense burner copying Qaznavid style with openwork detailing to the wings, neck and rump, incised scroll patterns to the body and head, T-shaped beak; mounted on a custom-made stand. 651 grams total, 16cm with stand (6 1/4"). From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.
