A gilt-bronze candleholder comprising a rectangular lotus-flower base supporting three figures, two kneeling and one sitting, each with hands held in prayer; arch to the rear of flowers and foliage with five cup-shaped sockets above. 2.7 kg, 23.5cm (9 1/4"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection.
