A watercolour painting on card with floral border, landscape with potentate sitting in a howdah on an advancing elephant with mahout before, four horsemen in procession before the elephant and a fifth spare horse, similar rank behind; water-bearer with skins on foot. 142 grams, 50 x 60cm (19 3/4 x 23 1/2"). From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.
