Elvis Presley's Circle G Ranch 1967 GMC Pickup Truck W/Title & Extensive Documentation Never Offered at Auction (Museum Exhibited) - This 1967 GMC Pickup truck was purchased by Elvis Presley and used by the King on his beloved Circle G Ranch. This truck was purchased brand new along with two others on February 8, 1967 from Guy Caldwell Motors in Senatobia, Mississippi. This is documented in the book "Hurry Home Elvis", a copy of which will be included with this sale, which is a collection of diary entries by Donna Lewis who was the daughter of the Circle G forman George Lewis. The truck was later sold by Vernon Presley to Haynes Motors in Maryland, as Vernon had a power of attorney to handle such things, which is documented in the accompanying copy of the Bill of Sale signed by Vernon with a VIN # matching the current title and the copy of the title application stating that the dealership purchased the vehicle from Elvis Presley. The truck later made its way to a new owner in Pensacola, Florida before it was acquired by collector Mike Moon and displayed at the Elvis Presley Museums for many years. The truck has been on display in Niagra Falls, Canada, Virginia Beach, VA, Myrtle Beach, SC, Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge, TN, and underwent a restoration, keeping its original 6 cylinder engine and factory dark green color. According to our seller, the truck bed was removed for the restoration and the cab was not, and the engine was removed and detailed and has never been rebuilt. The truck will be accompanied by extensive documention including the Georgia title, restoration receipts, DMV correspondence and more. This is truly an amazing and rare piece of Elvis Presley history, and is a museum worthy piece in this magnificent, restored condition wich runs and drives very well. While Elvis purchased many vehicles over the years it is thought that he only purchased seven trucks for Circle G Ranch in his lifetime, the whereabouts of only five are known. This particular truck is thought to be the only 1967 GMC that is known to have survived and been documented. While it is possible to come across an Elvis Presley Cadillac or Lincoln, even some of the most well-known collectors have never found an Elvis owned truck publicaly available for sale. This is the first time that this particular truck has been offered at public auction.
