1199. 1974 Elvis Presley 7th Degree Black Belt Karate card. This 7th Degree black belt Kenpo karate card was presented to Elvis on April 9, 1973. Elvis began a lifelong fascination with karate in 1960 and received his first Black Belt that same year. Kang Rhee was Elvis' local karate instructor in Memphis and Elvis trained with Master Rhee from 1970-1974. This card has Elvis Presley's name printed with his rank of 7th Degree black listed on one side, as well as his Karate name, "Tiger", written by Master Rhee. The back was signed by Kang Rhee and Elvis Presley, and also bears Elvis' two thumbprints in red ink. An amazing item that carries both Elvis' signature and his thumbprints! This card was later given to song-writer and Grammy Award winning Gospel singer, Dottie Rambo. Comes with a LOA from Reba Rambo-McGuire, daughter of Dottie Rambo, as well as a photograph of Elvis with Kang Rhee.
