ANTIQUE SEWING / KEEPSAKE BOXES, LOT OF FIVE, each with embossed and plain paper covering and trim, comprising a rectangular example with padded top having stenciled flower basket labeled "Souvenir" decoration; a rectangular example with a hand-colored engraving featuring a shoreline scene under glass to top and an interior mirror; a rectangular with applied fabric flowers to top and an interior mirror; a box cover with a print of Melle Falcoz of the Theatre des Nouveautes; and a small ovoid example with applied fabric flowers to top. 19th/early 20th century. Largest 7" W, 5 1/4" D, 2 1/4" HOA.
Fair to good overall condition with wear and other imperfections including discoloration, stains, losses to paper covering and trim, etc.; etched example with loose interior mirror; box cover together with unassociated box base.
Provenance: Historic property descended in the Clopper-Hutton family, "The Woodlands", Montgomery Co., MD.
