Circa 1820, possibly Charleston, South Carolina. The piece having a thinly crafted original top above two drawers, the top of which is fitted, and each with figured wood fronts. Case corners having turned wood quarter columns atop a turned wood base emitting four legs terminating in brass casters. The secondary wood is mahogany and white pine. H29 3/4" W18" D13 3/4" Sold from the collection of Mrs. Elizabeth R. Williams of Charleston, South Carolina.


Some veneer loss at front of case. Legs are in good condition throughout with no restoration or breakage detected. Some shrinkage expected with age. Top having some scuffs and dryness consistent with age and use.
