Lot Note: Matisse visited Morocco in 1912 and once again in 1913. He spent most of his time there in Tangier (French "Tanger").
Provenance: Formerly the property of a prominent private West Coast collector (deceased), now the property of a private Dallas collector. In 2016 we sold several other Moroccan-themed drawings from this same collection.
