Lot 919020 Details

Description
Early 19th century, probably Lancaster County. The case with a French foot below a scalloped panel, below the line inlaid door, and a swan's neck pediment with carved rosettes and three finials. The painted wooden dial (a replacement) has decoration depicting a town. The replaced movement has a wooden body with brass gears. Features the hollow tin weights, pendulum, hands, and two gears that are seperate from the movement, as pictured. There is illegible text in ink at the back of the movement as pictured.

Dimensions: 8 3/4" deep, 17" wide, 96" in height.

Provenance: From a local collection.
Condition
The case is in good condition with expected wear, retains an old surface. The central finial needs to be reglued in place. The movement will need work. We can not guarantee that the movement is original. We can not guarantee functionality.
