Description
A wood Yaka helmet mask with a fibre beard. Originating in the middle Kwilu, this type of helmet mask was used among the Yaka, the Suku, & Pindi groups in the Kasai, and was connected with initiation rites of passage. H= 60cm
Condition
Wood and raffia parts in good condition, some abrasion on the white pigments.
