The lot features a nice set of 19th Century beaded moccasins from the Sioux Native American Indians. The set shows parfleche rawhide soles which are sinew sewn to the Indian tanned hide tops which shows a medium ankle. The tops of the moccasins show a beaded geometric pattern with all 19th Century period correct glass trade seed beads of chalk white, black, greasy yellow, Cheyenne pink, red white heart, and medium blue. The set has a cross like central symobol with a pattern which acts as a border across the entire piece. The set shows sinew sewn beadwork in very good condition with little to no bead loss. Overall the set is well preserved and of a nice early rare age. Each shows a 10"L soles and 3.5"H ankles.
