Chinese carved Jade Carp table screen. The natural white jade with semi-precious hard stone inlaid Chinese table screen. Framed Chinese Zitan hardwood of rectangular shaped white jade plaque. Expertly carved, Zitan hardwood depicted some water plants in harmony against various fertile and dense flowers blooms, trashing wavy water, carving of waterside Lishui water landscape. In the center showing huge carp in white nephrite jade. The Carp Similar sounding to the word "Business" in Chinese, the carp symbolizes a wish for benefit or advantage in business, and accepted to represent longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance. Elegancy come with tall Zitan hardwood stand carved with wanzi motif and auspicious motif in green celadon jade. The Elaborately carved Zitan hardwood frame perfectly accentuates this work of art. Zitan is an extremely dense wood which sinks in water. It is a member of the rosewood family and is botanically classified in the Pterocarpus genus. The lumber is blackish-purple in hue, and its fibers are loaded with deep red pigments which have been used for dye throughout the ages. The entirety is encased in amazing relief carving which gives this box a captivating appearance. The Nephrite Jade has a lustrous tone, with pale-celadon iridescent and attractive sporadic golden russet inclusions, exquisite and detail, the jade stone have clean tone, with pale-celadon iridescent and moist milky appearance.
