A Superb, Chinese 17th Qing Dynasty Qianlong Reign Period, Blue and White Dragon Wings porcelain Jar. Finely potted in a baluster shaped vase, with tall ovoid body, bulbous body, rounded shoulder tapered gracefully to a prominent straight neck, supporting the flat wide flaring opening mouth rim, raised on wide round and slight concaved foot base, the shape is uniformly proportioned. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The main body delicately be depicted with snarling huge five claws imperial dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a cobalt blue color dragon squama rounded the belly, interspersed with scrolling interlocking tendril and lotus flowers blooms, banded with auspicious and geometrically pattern. Sturdy scrolling tendril and big Lotus flowers blooms decorated on the shoulder. Cresting Lishui wavy water and upturning phoenix tail decorated on the neck and upper mouth rim, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. The foot base rim decorated with scrolling ruyi and cresting Lishui wavy water, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. And The lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry and architecture. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, a feast for the eye.
