Circa early 18th cent., Spanish Colonial (Mexico), oil on canvas in wooden frame depicting the Holy Trinity with a host of angels. God the Father dressed in papal robes and tiara, or triregno, supports Christ descended from the cross with the dove of the holy spirit hovering above his left shoulder. The four archangels that flank these figures hold the symbol of Christ's crucifixion: the cross, the pillar and whip, and the reed, 45.25  x 37.25 x 0.25 in.


Condition: dirty; with numerous holes, tears, scuffs
