Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 52445. Bbl. 31 1/4". Numbers match on receiver, bolt, bayonet lug & correct dust cover. Receiver marked on left side w/ Nagoya Arsenal marking. Mum has been ground leaving Japanese Type 38 character. Straight bolt handle w/ oval knob. Notched safety knob. Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 2,400m. Inverted V front sight w/ protective ears. Cleaning rod is present. Hardwood stock set w/ 2 piece buttstock construction. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: World War II USN Amphibious Forces patch. Nickel plated brass fouled anchor buckle face. Sm. brass Japanese marked compass. Lightweight aluminum alloy cigarette case w/ brass eagle & Japanese map motif. Includes paper translating markings related to Daimai branch of veteran's organization. Case is well worn, scratched & moderately dented. Occupation map for Japan & the Far East printed in 1945. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, dents, staining & scratches throughout. 2 Piece buttstock joint is slightly loose. Has tiny cracks behind receiver tang. Metal has traces of blue turning patina w/ oxidation & scattered fine pitting. Good shiny bore. (19-3574/R). CURIO. $300-500.
