High quality revolver manufactured under contract for the U.S. Government but delivered too late to see use in the Civil War. This example has common "B" inspection marks throughout and the "RPB" cartouche of inspector Captain R. P. Barry on the left grip. The barrel has a German silver cone front sight, and the top strap marked "ROGERS & SPENCER/UTICA NY" Condition: Antique Fine, 40+% original high polish blue finish, dark brown patina and light oxidation in the flaked areas, typical marks and scratches throughout, edge wear. Grips are also fine, mild wear, free of cracks and major chips. Cartouche and markings are sharp. Recently cleaned/checked by a gunsmith and mechanically excellent. CLASS: ANTIQUE, NO FFL REQUIRED
