A necklace comprised of Egyptian faience beads with modernly made ceramic glazed amulets. The ancient Egyptian faience beads, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, are tube and disk type beads in shades of blue and green. The ancient beads are strung with 5 modern, probably early 20th century, paste amulets of a seat deity, perhaps Ra, with brownish green glaze. Necklace length: 20 1/2 in (51.9 cm); Amulets each about 4 cm in length. Ex Virginia private collection, acquired in the 1970's-80's.
