Description
A Georgian English sterling silver teapot. Hallmarks for Hannah Northcote (1761-1831) London, 1806. Hinged lid additionally hallmarked. Initial monogram of the period. Measures 11.5" wide from end of handle to end of spout, 6" deep, 4-3/8" high to top of handle. Weighs 673 grams.
NOTE: A George III teapot stand by Northcote, dated 1809 is owned by the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
