Yishuv/Eretz Israel mourning commemoration of the Arab Revolt (1936-39): soft cover book "Be Dam va'Esh..." (In Blood and Fire... / ??? ???...) - Disturbances of the year 1936-37 (5696-5697), arranged and edited by Reuven Goldberg, Eretz Israelian Book Publishers/Weinfeld Printers, Jerusalem, April 1937, 72 pages; glued cover and staple-bound pages. The book photo-textual commemoration of the Jewish victims of the Revolt during its first year, featuring their images and brief biographies + a heartfelt dedication (page 57) to British members of the security forces who died protecting Jews. The booklet ends with a chapter containing exhortations, encouragement, public safety announcements and images of Jewish renewal and rebuilding in Palestine. The publisher writes that the booklet does not contain even a tenth of the materials that he had prepared for publishing and that additional materials will be published forthwith. The booklet is complete and intact: a few inside pages towards the front and back have bent corners, the cover is brittle and flaking along the spine and is missing a corner on the front.
