(6) Pieces of Circa 1880 Chinese Embroidered Silk Man's and Woman's Apparel, including: Man's Mandarin style robe with silver and gold bullion and polychrome silk embroidery on buff ground (note: inner sleeves reveal robe's original imperial yellow ground color), cerulean blue trim, with applied small brass framed mirrors, hand stitched scalloped lappet sleeves with two-dimensional dragon heads, heavily padded waist placket with single large raised dragon head below an embossed foo dog, with another dragon head with raised fangs biting into bottom of front lappet, backside with geometric decoration above a single foo dog, dragons on each of two tails, and central tail with fringe, plain cotton lining with Chinese character signature inside and export stamp, 58" long, 16" wide at shoulder, 24" long sleeve, faded, most frogs broken; and (5)-Piece matching woman's court apparel including a pair of skirt plackets, 32" x 20", pair of sleeve lappets, 12" x 7", and collar, 24" x 10", faded, some mirrors are cracked.
