The fork with ball terminal over the cylindrical segmented handle continuing to the Gothic stylized Trident end with chased decoration. DETAILS: - MAKER: George B. Sharp, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Circa 1862 - MARKS: G.S., Sterling, Patent 1862 - SIZE: 5-1/2 In. Length. and 5-3/4 In. Length. - WEIGHT: 41.4 Grams (total weight for both). - CONDITION: Excellent. BACKGROUND: GEORGE B. SHARP - Philadelphia, PA Active in the 1850s working exclusively for the retailer firm Bailey & Co. From late 1860s it was in business for himself. Out of business in 1874 .
