Greece, Seleucids, ca. 125 to 96 BCE. Silver tetradrachm of Antiochus VIII Epiphanes, Antioch on the Orontes. Obverse: Distinct profile diademed head of the king. Reverse: Zeus with scepter n. L. enthroned, carrying on the right Nike, which crowns him, in the outer field. Two check marks on top of each other, under the throne monogram, the whole in the laurel wreath tied below. Newell, SMA 408; SC 2309.2e; SNG Spaer. Size: 1.05" W (2.7 cm); 16.1 grams
