Ancient Central Europe, Germany and Austria, Danube River Basin, Hallstatt culture, ca. 8th to 6th century BCE. A gorgeous bronze spiral torc (torq, torque) necklace of a tight spiral design curved into a circular form with hammer-flattened terminals curled into delicate tubular loops. This torc is of a generous size which would fit most necks, and the green and russet patina enveloping its surfaces further accentuate its attractive appeal. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 5.6" Diameter on interior (14.2 cm); 6.5" H (16.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Repair to one terminal with small chips and light adhesive residue along break lines. Slight bending to overall form, light abrasions to terminals, and light encrustations. Light earthen deposits and great green and russet patina throughout.
