**First Time At Auction**
Central Asia, India, ca. 19th century CE. A delightful cast copper ewer in the form of a cow, its legs in relief against the vessel, its muscular head projecting proudly from one side, and its tail forming a delicate loop handle on its opposite side. It stands on an integrated ovoid pedestal and has a round, fitted lid at its top. A handle is attached to either side of the mouth. This is a charming reminder of the importance of cows to Hindu culture. Size: 8" W x 7.45" H (20.3 cm x 18.9 cm)
