Central Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bassikassingo peoples, ca. early 20th century CE. A hand-carved standing male ancestral figure known as a "misi." Fine patina envelops this lovely example from the Bassikassingo peoples of central Africa! Size: 3.5" W x 14.1" H (8.9 cm x 35.8 cm); 14.25" H (36.2 cm) on included custom stand.
