Description

1st-3rd century AD. A large group of intaglios in carnelian, agate and other stones, comprising four with profile bust, four with standing figures, one with a lizard, one with a palm-leaf, one with a standing eagle, one with two fish, one with a stag below a tree. 6.6 grams total, 8-11mm (1/4 - 1/2"). Property of a Bristol collector; formerly part of his father's collection formed between 1960-late 1970s. [13]
