A Roman bronze applique depicting a Minerva, c. 1st - 4th Century AD, fashioned in repousse in sheet bronze. The goddesses bust is depicted in profile wearing a crested helmet and aegis, double-grooved circular border around. Dia: 3 in (7.6 cm). The piece is nicely perverse with remnants of holes for fastening it to a box or piece of furniture. Mounted on a custom wood stand. Ex Cambridgeshire, UK private collection.
