This is a watercolor painting from 1945. It shows Venice, Italy, with two Gondolas in the foreground. These are not tourist boats, but real working Gondolas, carrying coal? St. Marks is in the background, partially obscured by smoke, emanating from a small fire. We do have information with this painting, printed neatly on the back is what the owner transcribed, but on the back of the watercolor, hidden by the frame, printed with a flourish, is the date, "1945, Los Angeles, Calif., to Kenneth Shelton". Above that are 2 more words, difficult to decipher. The first word may be the artists name, the second work is "Morlen", an area near Venice. In excellent shape and nicely matted and framed, 17" X 20".Domestic: Flat-rate of $30.00 to anywhere within the contiguous U.S.International: Foreign shipping rates are determined by destination.Combined shipping: Please ask about combined shipping for multiple lots before bidding.Location: This item ships from California
