Description

World War One, Great Britain SE 5A Watercolor by Jack Hunter. A matted and framed watercolor illustrating a damaged British SE-5A trying to land over a French village. The watercolor was rendered by the artist Jack Hunter, best known as the author of the novel "The Blue Max"--made into a Hollywood film of the same title. Hunter, a WW2 veteran, maintained an antique shop and studio in St. Augustine, Florida for many years. His artwork is famous for its attention to aircraft detail. This watercolor, signed "Hunter" in the lower right corner, measures 17 1/2 inches in height and 22 inches in length.
