Published with 100 engraved plates in each volume, most hand-colored, interleaved with letterpress descriptions in German, some volumes with German and French. See online catalogue for missing plates in this set, (4to) 24.1x20 cm (9½x8"), universally rebound in later leather-backed, marbled paper-covered boards, some re-cornered, lettered in gilt on red morocco spine labels, fresh endpapers.
