Declaration Signer Thomas Jefferson Pristine 2nd Congress DS Regarding a Lighthouse at Cape Fear
Second Congress broadside document boldly and clearly signed by Jefferson at the conclusion "Th Jefferson". Beautifully framed to an overall size of 20" x 29"; the doc itself is 9.5" x 15". It is signed in print by George Washington and John Adams in addition to Jefferson's ink signature. The protection of the coast was very important to our new country, and in this document, under the direction of the "President of the United States", has Jefferson authorizing $4,000 to finish "the lighthouse on Baldhead" at the "mouth of Cape Fear River". Stunning in every way. In 1776, Jefferson crafted and signed the Declaration of Independence.
